The Council for Exceptional Children recognizes children and youth with exceptionalities “who have demonstrated their determination and achievements in multiple ways” with their Yes I Can Awards. At their 2020 annual conference in Portland, Oregon, Youth Ambassador Caroline Arnette was honored in the category of self-advocacy. We also had an exhibit booth at the conference as well. It was important to inform special education teachers and therapists about narcolepsy and sleep disorders in general. We had many important conversations and hopefully helped some undiagnosed students!
