Thank you to all for raising awareness on March 8th, 2025!
Your participation in Suddenly Sleepy Saturday 2025 was a big success. Together you helped build momentum for greater understanding of what it is like to live with narcolepsy. We are thrilled to report back to you that a total of 59 state and municipal proclamations were requested and 24 were granted. You can find your star lighting up the country on the map below.

Thank you Izzy, Leslie and Selena for sharing these insights below!

“I chose to request a proclamation so I could feel heard and recognized by my peers and government, and receiving it brought me a great deal of pride and is proof that people with narcolepsy can do great things too!” — Izzy, City of Baltimore.

“When I received the signed proclamation from Governor Kotek’s office I was both grateful and hopeful. It’s my hope that we can get the facts about Narcolepsy out to the general public.” — Leslie, Oregon.

“I chose to request a proclamation because my life has been affected by Narcolepsy. I have type 1, and everyday is a struggle. I would like for Narcolepsy to be recognized as a real disease, and how people suffer from it differently.” — Selena, South Carolina.
