Healthcare / Advocacy Content Marketer

Narcolepsy Network is the largest narcolepsy patient support and advocacy organization in the United States. We are seeking a part-time content marketer with hands-on experience producing creative assets for all social media platforms, websites, and email communications. You will promote and strengthen the visibility of Narcolepsy Network, its programs, and key activities. We are looking for a scrappy, self-starter who is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment. This position may evolve into a full-time role over time.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to edit and update a website on the WordPress and Squarespace platforms
  • Ability to create, edit, and produce print and digital materials using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva
  • Experience copyediting
  • Experience producing monthly creative for social media
  • Experience producing weekly creative assets for our email newsletter

Qualifications

  • 4+ Years of experience producing content across all digital platforms
  • Experience in health care, science, social service or advocacy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player who is adaptable and works well in a small, fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Ability to produce print and digital content
  • Experienced in health, science or social service fields is a plus

Patient Advocacy: Program and Volunteer Manager

Part-time Staff Position

Narcolepsy Network is the largest narcolepsy patient support and advocacy organization in the United States. We are seeking an experienced program and volunteer manager who will help us organize and expand our current educational and support programs. You will organize and bring these programs to the next level to better meet the needs of people with Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia.

We will collectively set goals and strategies to scale our national footprint and to build engagement in our education, support and advocacy programs. This will involve building upon these programs, developing volunteer relationships and establishing a reporting system through Neon (our CRM). You will potentially also need to manage contractors who support these programs.

Required Skills

  • 5 years of experience planning and delivering support and/or education programs in the healthcare space
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled at relationship building
  • Team player who is adaptable and works well in a small, growing organization
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a small, entrepreneurial environment
  • Flexible in terms of work hours
  • Experienced with project management software such as Asana, and a CRM database like NEON
  • Ability to establish clear policies and management practices when working with volunteers
  • Experience with Google Workspace required, with expert skills in Google Sheets
  • Experience in rare disease or patient organizations is highly desirable
