Living with narcolepsy can be very challenging. Narcolepsy Network brings people with narcolepsy together in many different ways so that no one has to feel alone in facing these challenges. Through our quarterly, 16-page newsletter, The Network, and our website, we provide our members with news of events, information on diagnosis and treatment, updates in narcolepsy research, ideas for coping, personal stories and much more! We assist in the formation and maintenance of Support Groups, where feasible, and can connect you with another person in your area or who shares your symptoms or experiences. We provide material upon request on a wide variety of specialized topics. We advocate for all persons with narcolepsy -- in the workplace, in education, and in areas such as access to medical and disability benefits and medications. We also hold an annual weekend conference each year in a different city, where members have the opportunity to meet, share experiences and attend presentations from leading narcolepsy experts.
NN also offers membership to Professionals as well as Sleep Centers and other organizations. We recognize the challenges that most physicians and other professionals face in keeping up-to-date on a disorder that accounts for only a portion of one's practice. Together with our Medical Advisory Board, we are committed to providing our Professional and Sleep Center/Organization members with practical information on narcolepsy to increase your understanding of patient experiences and to assist you in making accurate diagnoses and prescribing optimal treatments to your patients. Our professional and Sleep Center/Organization members include, but are not limited to physicians, Sleep Centers, psychologists, other sleep organizations and advocacy groups.
Our Professional and Sleep Center/Organization membership levels include many additional benefits tailored to the needs of these groups. For a brochure detailing these benefits, please call our Executive Director, Dr. Eveline Honig, at 1-888-292-6522 or (401) 667-2523.
