Hi Everybody, Tony here. Iv'e made this topic so every one can tell us what they relate Narcolepsy to and why.

I'll start.
I Relate Narcolepsy to: A Super hero
Reason: Because having Narcolepsy is like being a Super hero because, We have all these unique "Super powers" like Cataplexy and Hypnogogic Hallucinations.

I aggree with the Super Hero, but more because how deeply empathic, caring and meek living with Narcolepsy, etc. molds our character. Narcolepsy does make us better people.

I relate my narcolepsy to a scar shaped like a thunder-bolt on my head. It's could be just an ugly scar, but it also reminds me of who I am, and the condition of things.


I bet that is the first Harry Potter reference on the board smile.gif

Although I've never been drunk, this is how I relate my narcolepsy... [But don't tell the legislatures this; they won't let us drive anymore!]

Either you're bouncing off the walls (from the massive doses of CNS stimulants), staggering around (mild cataplexy attacks while walking), or passed out cold. And then there's the never remembering half of the things you do/say until people tell you about it later. Or waking up and not knowing where you are, how you got there, or how long you were "out"....

Narcolepsy is like a preschooler and nap time...

no choice in it, your tired, you may fight it, some parents medicate you and you will finally just give in and fall out ...


and it takes a Kick boxing Leprechaun to wake me up >.> lol
