I recently had 3 wisdom teeth taken out and I have been recovering quite slowly (although that is not unusual since they were impacted and wrapped around the bone). Though my surgery was significantly less intense than yours, I was off of xyrem for a few days. I took it the night before because my oral surgeon called my sleep dr and they agreed it would be ok. I was on pain meds for about 4 days afterward and did not take the xyrem with them. I started back on the xyrem as soon as I was not in pain and did not need to take pain meds. I also titrated up again because I was scared after 4 days I would get sick if I started on my full dose. According to that timeline, it sounds like you might need to be off the xyrem for quite a bit until you can drink from a cup again. Good luck buddy!
