I am having so much trouble getting up in the morning.
For the last two years or so, I have set my alarm for 5:30 -this is when I take two Provigil (200 gm each)
I am sup]posed to split them 1 in the morn and 1 in the afternoon.
But I had to take two just to get up. I also take armor thyroid and Welbuterin.
I take these at 5:30 am and I have a second alarm for 6:45 --this was working okay for the last 2 years.
Lately, I cannot get up.
I have been late for work 5 days for the last two weeks and called in 3 times just so I could sleep.
I also feet bad the mornings I called in. My body felt like it was turning to cement inside.
My chest was hurting and I could not force myself up.
I am sure I have built up a tolerance for the PROVIGIL
I usually try to take only one a day or none on the weekends.
Lately, nothing is helping me.
I got a RX for adderal Not helping much.
I added Neurotinin to my bedtime. I sleep through the night usually.
ANY suggestions?
I have been DX N, PLM, --wonder if i also have the sleeping disorder where getting up is difficult due to circadian rhythms.
ANY HELP ON HOW TO WAKE UP would be most appreciated.
I don't want to lose my job. I work 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Linna- you said you started taking Neurontin. Did you stop Klonopin abruptly or are you still taking it. If you did not stop taking it abruptly, did you begin a very gradual taper over a long time. If you are taking the two together, they may be causing the sedating effects to intensify. If you stopped Klonopin abruptly, or decreased to quickly, you may be experiencing some withdrawal. For me, the withdrawal was always delayed about days from each reduction. How is your doctor directing you in this? I hope you begin feeling better soon.

Don't assume it's the narcolepsy, or the meds! The new onset of chest pain and severe fatigue for two weeks warrants a doctor's visit and labs ASAP regardless of whether you have a sleep disorder or not. You could have just about anything, including (but not limited to) severe anemia, hypertension, a viral infection, or a new cardiac or GI issue. Call and make an appointment right away, and let us know how it goes, ok?

What time are you going to bed each night?
