I seem to have turned a corner on the second week of 3.0 x 2. I just started 3.7x2 last night. Per my sleep doc, I am still taking Sonata- an Rx sleeping pill. Since last week, I noticed I woke up to the pillow alarm rather than waiting for it to go off. Then I moved my bed time an hour earlier and still slept well. Last night I took Xyrem 3.75 at 10, asleep at 10:30, alarm at 3:30 for 3.75 and woke up at 7:45- a new record for me. I will discontinue Sonata before moving to 4.5 dose. It is encouraging just to see some degree of improvement. My mildest Cataplexy aka Low C- waves of tingling- is gone. I have always had this and thought it was normal, so I actually kind of miss it- music and people don't make me tingle anymore. Middle C is still present - but I have been under a lot of stress which always makes C worse. And high C- when I slow/control drop is rare so I don't notice a difference. I almost want someone startle/surprise me and to see if I will go down.

Talk to your Dr about switching to the 3x night dosing. usually take your total nightly amount and divide by 3. At a Sleep conference this was discussed as the newest dosing regime.

Going to call my sleep doc today and see if I can jump up again!! SOOO excited!

A couple of changes I have noticed is that my auditory hallucinations seems to have lessened. I used to hear music most nights while drifting off to sleep. No changes as far as my C, but like you have been much more stressed then normal. The other day I was very upset and was trying to drive... had to pull over 3x because my legs were shaking so bad!
