Hi, I have narcolepsy and epilepsy. I metabolize medication differently and have a hard time keeping levels up. I am on 4 epilepsy different meds and still have seizures. My Dr. has tried several different meds and the ones I am on now has cut them down but not entirely. I take several other meds for other medical reasons. I need help. I take Nuvigile for my Narcolepsy. It does not work and I have become even more sleepy. I have 5 children with 4 of them at home. I also keep my 2 year old daughter during the week.
I really really hate this and it is scary. Any one have any advise?

Hi Karen, wow do you have a lot going on! I don't really have any good advice, but I hope posting here will get you some helpful input from the community.I know that Nuvigil "promotes wakefulness" so it doesn't really keep you from ever feeling sleepy. It doesn't work like an amphetamine. So since the Nuvigil doesn't help you, do you need to keep taking it or is your Narcolepsy worse without it? Do you have any help with the four children? I also wonder how all of your medications interact with each other - could something else you're taking be affecting the effectiveness of the Nuvigil?

PROVIGIL Works better for me than Nuvagil
