One day I woke up and felt so ridiculously frustrated with my Narcolepsy. So I decided to do some research and stumbled upon a website saying that Narcolepsy could be brought on by H1N1 (Swine Flu).

I was kind of excited when I read about that... I had H1N1 when it was a big thing and was completely wiped out by it. I didn't get diagnosed with Narcolepsy until a year and a half ago and thought it was strange since I never really had issues with sleep as a kid.

I guess I just thought it was interesting and wanted to hear other peoples opinions on the matter (and if anybody else was diagnosed after H1N1)

There were some studies that showed a 6-10 fold increase in the rate of narcolepsy among children who had been given the Pandemrix adjuvanted swine flu vaccine. There is another study that found narcolepsy onset was more likely to begin during certain times of the year. If I'm not mistaken (I haven't read the paper myself), the implication was that narcolepsy followed seasonal flu infections, and that cases of narcolepsy increased after the 2009 swine flu pandemic.
