I yawn multiple times through out the day everyday, even on nuvigil 150mg. is this normal? will it stop eventually. and my main question is will my day time sleepiness get worse? will my cataplexdy get worse, i feel like its progress since i started with it prolly 2 years ago or so. but its kinda leveled out these past few months. (of nuvigil i feel fine waking up at 9:50ish, i can usually last multiple hours feeling normal then i start to feel a little faitugud. and by like 3ish USUALLY i feel overwelemed.. and need to take a nap to where i fall asleep for about an hour maybe a little more or a little less. but nuivigil seems to be working when im on it im up, maybe feel a little uneasy, alot of small side effects. dry mouth, bowel issues, etc. But i still yawn on nuvigil, but i deffiantly feel awake, maybe im just a yawner haha. but i deff need nuvigil for sports. so ill learn to somehow manage everything with it. but it does help overall though. but yeah. any comments or stories about yawning, or nuvigil?

On 150mg Nuvigil I was still yawning all day, and by 3pm, felt like the effects had worn off entirely. Don't get me wrong, the Nuvigil was making a huge difference, but I wasn't able to stay alert all day. My neurologist increased the dosage to 250mg... which seems to be doing a better job. I still nap once or twice a day--around lunchtime, and then mid/late afternoon. I really start dragging if I don't get the naps, even with the higher dosage. Another forum member suggested keeping a journal to record sleep/wake/nap times, and when you're the sleepiest. I never actually wrote stuff down, but I tried to pay attention to when I was getting sleepy. It helped me figure out when the most effective times for naps are, as well as the right amount of time for me to nap (with 25 minutes, I feel refreshed, with 40 minutes, I feel groggy--but YMMV). Good luck!

thank you!! i need to start keeping a log to find the times!, it usually is a few hours after i wake up, early afternoon, maybe mid afternoon too but if i make it past that i cant stay up till like 1 if i wanted to and constatly wake up because of the naps i took. haha so i try to only take time 15-20 min naps IF NESSCARY for like working out and stuff. but if im not on nuvigil and not doing anything that day but am the next, ill fight the nap urges so i sleep that much better that night, which will make me feel better the next day, kinda of a percise cycle haha. but still learning what to do and not to do ya know
