I was diagnosed with narcolepsy less than a year ago. i have never experienced a full on cata attack but i experience other sudden muscle weakness problems.
For example, after i wake up from sleep or when i am getting ready for bed, i have to hold my dresser or a wall to walk for a few moments. my legs feel like jello, shaky and unable to support my weight. Other times, I will be at work, home or out and about and one or both of my legs will suddenly become weak. I have never fallen over during this and during these random weakness attacks i don't have any sudden or strong emotional change.
Does this happen to anyone else?
It is related to mild cataplexy?
any help with this would be awesome.
