My husband made stuffing and chicken, I got some and after re-heating it, I sat down and then realized I was holding a spoon, I don't remember grabbing a spoon. I went back and grabbed a fork. Just another case of me doing stuff in my sleep. Like the times I've cooked food in the microwave and when I went to make my next meal, found the previous meal all stale and cold.

I do this kind of thing ALL the time! Before the N dx I was so confused about why I was like, losing chunks of time. Last night when I went to take my PM pills I went to grab some chocolate soymilk to wash them down with only to find myself upstairs with a glass of cranberry juice. Not to mention that more often than not, in the time it takes me to grab a drink I've forgotten that I'm getting it to take my pills & just walk away. Does that kind of stuff happen to anyone else

I hope it's not rude to laugh and tell you how funny that is..... I do that stuff all the time and just thought I wasn't paying attention. Husband asks: Did you take your bedtime pill? I ask: I don't know. What did you watch me do in the last 10 minutes?
Many times I get up to do something and a few minutes later I look down at what I'm doing and can't remember why I started doing it. I'm pretty sure I meant to do something else instead. Please tell more. I need someone else I can laugh WITH.

But what about the other end of that spectrum. A couple weeks ago, I woke up and saw my second dose of xyrem on the table. I was so confused, because I have a vivid memory of taking it in the middle of the night. I even remember a tiny bit dribbling down my chin!! What the.....? I have no idea if I mixed another dose in my sleep or if I totally dreamed I took it, but it seemed real to me!

Where I work, I do several different jobs for the same small business. But all those jobs aren't done in the same place. Then, once a week, I work for my mom in her picture framing shop. I've been known to show up at the wrong workplace on the wrong day. I don't always realize it and I wonder why people are looking at me funny..lol I guess cause I am!

Well nobody said N is without it's lighter side. With me the more emotional things get, the more pronoucned my symptoms become. Well things have just been down right brutal lately and it seems I can either walk into a room, or know why I am in a room, but I can't swing both at the same time. And I do it like a cat too, I'll just be sitting on the couch and suddenly BAM.. I'm off to the bedroom RIGHT NOW. But then I get there and the sense of urgency starts to give way to the fact that I'm standing in my bedroom, staring at the floor wondering why the word "monosyllabic" has five syllables.

Ah! I totally do things like this all the time. Like putting cereal in the fridge and milk in the pantry just as a stereotypical answer, but this is something I've actually done! I put my keys in the fridge once, too.

I'm so glad that my friends are understanding because a few times per conversation I'll stop mid-sentence and go "What was I talking about?"

I have a note to myself on my dresser which says "Don't do anything important in the morning". This is because I was always temporarily loosing things. Sometimes I would place certain important items in a "safe" place, then go back later in the day and not be able to find anything. I thought I had lost almost $1000 cash...turns out I put it on top of the bathroom medicine cabinet. Or had put my flash drive (with most of my important documents) in the freezer. I have no recollection of doing these things, so I just need to make sure I don't try to touch anything important until maybe 3 hours after I wake in the morning.

Wow have been chalking that up to old age or thinking I'm going to get a migraine. The worst is at work when I'm talking and then lose my train of thought. Afterwards I'm always think that the person I'm talking to is saying to themselves "what is she on", because I know I must come across as really flaky or high LOL.
