I have been an artist, painter mostly, for over 30 years. I am interested in sharing ideas and thoughts about having narcolepsy and whether or not it affects your art work. By choice or inadvertently. Personally, I suspect it has had a profound affect on my art career.

Finally found N people talking about my hobbies.
Depression and Creativity are linked scientifically to each other.
But N and combination of Depression (even completely treated) help to achieve more than common person. So lets use our adversity . What say?

Personally, I believe narcolepsy has had a profound affect on my artwork. I am working towards my BFA in Studio art and I find that lately I only stay awake and interested in a piece if it is HUGE, and filled with extremely bright colors. I would say my dreams/hallucinations provide the most content for my artwork, but I paint them mostly so that I can express to others, visually, what I see.
