I would like to know if this site or any other site offers a live chat room to discuss Narcolepsy. If you know of one please post it here. I would like to talk to ppl live sometimes. (If any of us can stay awake long enough, that is.
) Thank you.

I believe http://bitesizelife.com/ has a chat room ("Slumber Party" in the top navigation bar) set up, but I'm not sure when their next scheduled chat is.
I also set up an IRC channel (basically a chat room) for PWN, and had been (mostly unsuccessfully) trying to organize weekly chats on another narcolepsy forum. I guess I'll mention it here, as well... You can access it with a web browser at http://frozentrout.com/narcolepsy.html or point an IRC client (such as mIRC, XChat, or Colloquy) to channel #screwnarcolepsy on server irc.hiddenrealms.org .
I had been setting the chats for 6:00pm Eastern time (GMT-5) on Sundays, so how does that sound?
I leave my client logged in 24/7, but I may or may not actually be at the computer; you can say "FrozenTrout" in the channel, and if I'm there the computer will alert me that someone's talking to me. Also, if no one talks right away, don't be discouraged; wait for other people to join, or idlers to realize someone's talking.
I guess I should also clarify, as someone was asking about it on the other forum, IRC is text chat only, not voice chat. If people want voice chat as well, there are a few options; Skype and Teamspeak have free computer conference chat, and both have Windows, Linux, and OS X clients.

Hi Shannon,
talkaboutsleep.com offers a moderated Narcolepsy chat on Thursday evenings 9-11 eastern. They have been offering this for years.
I know that the NN soon hopes to offer chats on this site as well.

Got this message in Facebook:
This Friday, November 6th
7:00pm EST
we're all meeting here:
http://bitesizelife.com/slumber-party/
Make sure you are registered ahead of time. It don't cost a thing!
http://bitesizelife....action=register
Though it is worth mentioning that even though BSL has slumber partys, (specific chat times) the chat is available ALL the time so if you find someone online and want to talk you can always go use those rooms as long as all parties are registered.
Also I believe Cowgrl has chat meetings in Second Life, with her group The Slumber Society. If you are a member of that virtual community or wish to be, you can get hold of her for more information.

Ah, good to know there are some others out there. I can't make tomorrow's BSL one, but hopefully I'll be free this evening for talkaboutsleep.

talkaboutsleep.com has hosted narcolepsy meetings on Thursday evenings. Tracy is highly educated in sleep disorders. The chat room is always open so you can meet people there when ever you wish.
