I just got an e-mail from the Narcolepsy Network about media coverage for Narcolepsy: "The Insider" is a daily 1/2-hour entertainment news show that airs on CBS.
They actually had a film crew at the Narcolepsy Network conference this weekend, and they'll be running a 7-minute segment on Narcolepsy some time during tonight's episode. (Wednesday, October 8th).
To see when "The Insider" airs in your area, go to http://feeds.theinsi...showfinder.html and enter your zip code. (Note: when I entered my zip code, the information provided wasn't correct. I had to consult my local cable guide to find it.)
The Narcolepsy Network will be archiving this episode, so if you live in an area that doesn't get "The Insider," you should be able to contact the network to get a copy to view.

This is a CBS production, but is not always shown on CBS affiliates, as it is a syndicated show. Additionally, the station listings on the Insider site are not up to date, as I have found 2 cities that are clearly incorrect in the identification of the station of broadcast.
That said, searching local TV listings in print or online for anyone's given area, should provide insight to when, or if, it will be on the air in a given city.
It very well may be easier accessed via this site for many people.

I just got done watching the The Insider, and it was all about Hollywood, Celebrities, and etc. There was nothing about Narcolepsy.

There is one listed in atlanta at 8:30 pm and one on channel 36 at 10:30... maybe it was all a dream..

Well Quiz, this might explain why people are reporting mixed results about getting the show, or getting older episodes of the show.
It's not even on until 1:30 am for me here.
Stu, do we have the ability to post a clip of the show, either on the main NN website or here in the forums?

I just reviewed the episode of "The Insider" that my DVR caught last night, and I got the same results. Lots of Sarah Palin, some Kim Kardashian, Madonna, Mariah Carey, and 5 overweight brides -- but no Narcolepsy. I will touch base with the Narcolepsy Network to see if they were made aware of a programming change.

Hi all -
I got the latest/greatest update from Joyce Scannell, office manager extraordinaire at the Narcolepsy Network, regarding "The Insider":
It turns out that our piece had to be cut last night, so it will be included in either their Friday or Saturday show.
Also, Joyce tells me that a copy should be available on the Narcolepsy Network website shortly after it airs.
Set those VCR's!

Hi Kimberly,
I was at the conference over the weekend and was looking forward to watching the insider. I had the insider on and did not see anything regarding Narcolepsy or the conference.

OK, so.. did anyone catch "The Insider" on Friday to see if our segment was included?
I was out of town for a job interview and when I got home (3 hrs late) there was something wrong with our cable. I had set our DVR to record the show, but don't know if we got it because the cable isn't working.

Alan, your posts make me laugh so hard -- it's good that I'm on the Effexor or I'd be face-down in the keyboard right now from cataplexy I'm sure.
Anyway, I did hear back from Joyce at the Narcolepsy Network office. She is as stumped as the rest of us regarding why the story hasn't run, and they have not gotten an updated date from "the Insider" folks. So in the meantime I have my DVR set to record every episode of the program for the rest of the week.
