Interestingly enough.. I find that I always lose weight when I'm not on medication. Part of the reason for trying to find a diagnosis when they did was because I had crashed and totaled 3 cars, I was sleeping all the time and at weird hours, and I had lost upwards of 50lbs in a matter of a few months without even trying.
Recently my narcolepsy has been bad and I went to the doctor seeking some sort of relief and what do you know I stepped on the scale and had lost 25lbs just since I had been there in November. I would imagine this is because I sleep through mealtimes and then when I wake up, I am not very interested in eating. I've never been on medication long enough to notice a difference in my weight then. It should be interesting to see.
