Hey FaeMomma!
Welcome to our little community! We're happy to have you here...N...C...SP...with or without your always welcome here.
Docs just LOVE to say what's wrong with us, don't they?
While they argue, keep a couple things in mind. You will NEVER be your symptoms...You might have them, but you won't ever BE them. It might help knowing that nobody's symptoms are the same...We all have different degrees of them.
Fibromyalgia seems to hang around some of us...not me, personally, but it isn't uncommon. It is real though.
Testing? It is a royal pain in the butt, but I highly recomend it.
Me and my very good friend Chuck (he's around here somewhere) have talked in length about the fear of sleeping. Look at what we go through! Doesn't surprise me at all.
WHile the Docs fight to tell you what is wrong with you, it's always a little fun (and important!) to take note of the wonderful things that are right with you. I truly believe what we think about, we bring about, and thinking about all the great things around (and about you) can bring a change that medication never can.
Take care of you...which will make you a better You...and a better Mom...and a better friend. This may mean carefully trying some meds. I would highly recomend listening to the sleep docs on this, and keep them in the loop about changes. The most common medications around here seem to be provigil and Xyrem...But like the symptoms, the meds affect us differently.
We're glad your here! Make yourself at home, would ya?
love and prayers!

Hi Stu! Thanks so much for replying! It was perfect timing! I was about to go to bed and I thought... oh I'm feeling down maybe I'll see if anyone replied to my post! lol! Thanks!
Anyways I really appreciate your thread and it is nice to hear what someone else (besides my family which doesn't quite believe in doctors) has to say and I like your ideas on thinking positive! I try to do that already! Though sometimes I let myself slip! Also! I'd seen your posts on a few of the other threads so I was already familiar with you! I also wanted to mention my Great Grandmother had N! It's kinda funky but she was my world for years and I hers... so if I do I guess it's just another reason we were so close maybe? lol!
