Don't tease me.....the link doesn't work!!! Neither does the email!!!!
It is driving me NUTS that Colorado does not have a support group. I KNOW there are narcoleptics here....SO WHERE ARE YOU!!!
Sunshine,
We are sorry that this old information is incorrect. We will do our best to track down any possible support groups in Colorado. Please also feel free to PM me if you have specific questions or what to discuss anything in greater detail. Thank you for notifying us that this information is no longer valid.

I would be willing to host a Northern Colorado Narcolepsy Support Group. Anything in particular I need to do?

If you are a member of Narcolepsy Network (NN), and not just a member of this Forum, you can ask Joyce at the NN office for a list of other NN members in your State. Also if you are trying to start your own Support Group, e-mail Sarah DiDavide (She Chairs the NN Support Group Committee) and ask for assistance. Both can be done from the NN main website.

I am from GA but am making the move to CO as soon as I get a job out there. I am licensed in CO as a pharmacist, but it has been difficult getting a job without knowing anyone. I am flying out there this Saturday and will be there for one week to hopefully make some better progress. Do you know if there has been any development as far as forming a Narcolepsy Network group in Colorado? If so, please let me know! This is definitely something I will be interested in!! Also, if you know anyone looking for an enthusiastic & passionate pharmacist, let me know!

We just moved to Parker and are interested in a support group for Narcoleptics. Our 8 year old son was just diagnosed and we are struggling to find medications, doctors, and general support.
Thanks!

I haven't been on here in...years I think. Anyway, I'm still in Denver. I don't know a thing about support groups here. NN avoids Denver for conferences like the plague as far as I can tell. I guess they think that since there are so many athletes, there must not be anyone with narcolepsy. Did you know that Denver is home to one of the highest number of MS patients....I think it's because there is so much research for it here. But, being that it's related to narcolepsy via the same MHC-2 genetic allele, and it's autoimmune....and many of them tend to have narcolepsy-like syndromes....you'd think we have something. Nope. Denver is a "hush don't talk about bad stuff" kind of town. So we get ignored all around. You can email me at soprano2d. That's at hotmail.com.
Cheers!

I'd like to start a support group in Colorado. Anyone in? I was in a support group in San Diego and it was so wonderful I miss the experience.
Sometime soon I'll actually fill out the paperwork to become a member and contact NN.org people for information. I live in Frederick but will try to find a central location for everyone.
If you're interested and have ideas please let me know: krystin.corby@gmail.com
