I went to my sleep clinic on tuesday and had another sleep study and they kept me for the MSLT. They gave me the opurtunity to sleep 5 times 2 hours apart. The nap aportunity was only twenty minutes wether I slept or not. I slept all 5 times but woke up before the 20 minutes was up. I remmember dreaming each time. I had a couple nightmare that woke me up very abruptly. The sleep techs wouldn't tell me anything and the doc didn't have time to meet with me. can anyone shed any light on this process and what this all means

Shall,

It's all good. It takes them some time to look at the data.
Be patient for the results.

See? It wasn't that bad, was it? You'll be glad you did it. They can tell a lot from the results they get.

I received the results today and they diagnosed me with N. I guess it is official. I tired to get the doc to release me for work but he wouldn't. He wants me to try a new medication called pirasan(not sure if that is correct or not) He says that it is new and that it is not a stimulant. You take it at night and it consolidates your sleep. You have to take it when you go to sleep and wake up 4 hrs later and take it. I told him I would try anything to get back to work

Hey Shall,

Congrats on getting diagnosed! Give yourself some credit!

Sounds like your doctor has perscribed Xyrem. if it is, Xyrem has a great rate of success with some of us.

xyrem - scares me a little. I will trust gods plan. He is the only one that knows how I am going to make it through this. He doesn't let us go through anything we can not handle as long as we trust in him.

Have a great day and god bless all of you. You all are in my prayers
