First, you all know I think you guys are the best. The friends I've made here mean so much to me....Okay....Love fest over. Let me get to what this topic is about....

I'm handing out free blogs/websites for anyone that lets me know they want one. These blogs can be used for support groups (support group people, listen up!).

I'm doing this because....

A) I think it's important that our sleepy community has a place to get out our anger and frustrations in an uncensored and safe place, as well as have a place to share joys and triumphs with the rest of the world.

cool.gif Too many of our brothers and sisters trying to get support groups going don't have the money for a good site (oh....and these will be good!)

C) I'd like to see us have expanded "profiles" that told us more about each other than what our conditions are.

List 'o' things you should know....

*The blogs are in the rough at the moment, but they will be the best in the world...
*You can only get them through me, and they are ONLY made available to my fellow N/C friends
*There is no adspace. Chances are any ads on the blogs will be for NarcolepsyNetwork, and the great affiliates of.
*The webaddress will have no reference to Narcolepsy (purposly). I wanted it this way so your blog didn't have to be tied to your condition. dig?
*If you take a blog....use it!
*The program I'm using is pretty slick...And there will be some bumps in getting it perfect...So you would be helping build an amazing comunity of..well...folks like us.
*If you become a member of the Narcolepsy Network, I'll do some customizations for you (hey, you should really become a member anyway, right?).
*I reserve the right to pull your blog for any reason...I'd pull it for the usuall not-cool-stuff. I'm all about freedom of speech, and encourage it...but if you start acting malicious, or start spammimg, or just being a butthead to others, I have to pull your site...
*Non Narcoleptics (or folks who are not friends and family of) won't be getting a free site....This is just for us, guys...

Oh...and members of NarcolepsyNetwork can get an email address....Ask me about this, and I'll tell you more...It's a very cool thing!

Questions, anyone?
Blog for you?
Perhaps a site for your support group?

I got them for ya...Just for the asking! Send me a PM....K?

Thanks, friends!!!!

-Stu

Please...take me up on this offer! Support the Narcolepsy Network....speak your mind...

Hey Stu,

I'm new here (I just now realized NN had its own forum!) but I have been running a support group online for narcolepsy over two years now called People With Narcolepsy (PWN). It's actually listed on NN's "What can I do?" page at the very bottom. Obviously it's not really a "blog" though there is a new "blog" section, but it is set up similarly to this forum. Since my current url is www.teamidesign.com/narcolepsy (or /pwn for the new site I'm setting up...slowly...), I'd love to have a domain more like www.peoplewithnarcolepsy.org that would be more relevant. Team iDesign is my online gaming clan and they granted me space to use so being free it is nice. If giving out help like this is what you mean, would you mind helping me out? I would very much appreciate it.

If you have any questions, email me (toph4er@hotmail.com)

Thanks!

Rach, I've seen you on EVERY "N" site out there.
I swear, if there's a website for narcoleptic left-handed nomadic mandarins, I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to get your banner ad on it! *lmao*

It's actually pretty impressive! It just means you can be as geeky as the rest of us. smile.gif

If you ever decide to settle down with just one website to call your own, you KNOW i'd hook you up with a blog smile.gif

Stu,

I am a NN Member and would be interested in this. I currently have a blog that I've had for almost 6 years now...
...but I would like to maybe have one for narcolepsy issues, sleep logs, notes, etc.

Tell me what you want...I use subdomains off of my domain (bitesizekife.com). Whatever you want. It could be kogeliz.bitesizelife.com...
Just let me know, and I'll make it happen.

laugh.gif You crack me up, narcoleptic left-handed nomadic mandarins! There aren't that many N sites out there, are there? I do want to get the word out about disability activism, and I have learned a few things about computers, so yeah, I have a good sized geekness lol! We have been hit by hard times, so you have to find creative ways to get your name out there. I am really low key, not a hard sales person. My dream is to change the world of disability benefits... aka Social Security, etc. NN, myspace, and getting the word out whatever way you can is a good start, eh? biggrin.gif

I think getting schools to understand more about Narco and Cata would be a start.

Cryo...I don't think that is what this thread is for, though I do agree that schools must be taught more about N&C. This is for people who have a N site, or want one to blog about N and N related things.
