[color=blue][color=blue]My name is Sarah, I am 30 yrs old and was lucky to be diagnosed with N&C about 14yrs ago -due to a vigilant mum who knew there was something not quite right me so made our dr investigate. 1stly they thought had a brain tumor! then that was ruled out-phew!, then was told had epilepsy so was put on med's for 2 yrs for that then finally decided to give me CAT scan EEG ECG ruling that out concluding that I had N&C. About 4yrs ago had a lumber puncture which showed the HLA DQB1*06 geno type. I am on exceeding doses of Ritalin 60mgs+ daily & Modofinil 600mgs daily ( but try my best not to take these massive doses due to the fact it exagerates symptoms let alone the nasty side effects). I have finally decided to not fight the symptoms anymore so being honest with people helps with the strange things that occur in my behaviour. I have many stories to tell & like to think that I have come up with numerous coping strategies (that work for me anyway) and interested in making more public awareness of N&C especially in UK as we seem to still be in the dark ages here with this condition making life that much tougher!! great site and finally a constructive one has been develped - a great assesst to NN org!

Hey There Sarah, its good to meet someone else from the uk with Narcolepsy. I also used to take Medafonil, It didn't help me, it gave me awfull Headaches.
