Parents, caregivers and educators invited to learn more about Narcolepsy in the Classroom
The Narcolepsy & Hypersomnia Support Group of the Greater Washington D.C. Area presents Narcolepsy In The Classroom?, an informative afternoon for parents, caregivers and educators. Children and teens with narcolepsy are also encouraged to attend for activities and an opportunity to socialize with their peers. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Judith Owens, MPH, D, ABSM
Director of Sleep Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center
Dr. Owens will discuss what narcolepsy is and how if affects each child differently.
Ms. Sandra Sandoval, Esq.
Staff Attorney, DC Children’s Law Center
Ms. Sandoval will discuss the pros and cons of the 504 and IEP process and provide additional information that may be beneficial to educators and parents.
